JJ Bogusewski
USPTA and PTR Certified Tennis Professional
JJ grew up in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee. There he received his Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Ergonomics from The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. While attending school he played number one singles and doubles for the men's team and helped lead them to two conference championships and was named all-conference twice.
Upon graduation, he moved to Savannah, Georgia to pursue a career in teaching tennis. He is a certified United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) instructor and has been a member for over thirty years. He has been the pro at two private clubs in Savannah, has helped many local juniors have successful college careers and coached several adult USTA teams to the state and sectional championships. In addition to teaching his private lessons, JJ was a coach for the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) men's and women's tennis teams for six years.
JJ and his wife Sarah moved to Lexington in 2012, where he began teaching at Lexington Tennis Club. He enjoys working with adults from true beginners to the more advanced player. As a High Performance Certified Coach he finds a way to help improve your game and move it to the next level.
JJ continues to enjoy playing tennis and is a highly competitive 5.0 player. In October 2021 his 18+ 4.5 men's team made it to the finals of the USTA National tournament and the following weekend his 40+ 4.5 team placed 4th at Nationals. Both events were held in Scottsdale, AZ.
JJ is excited to work with the LCC families and members. He has plans for several tennis and pickleball socials along with private and group lessons throughout the week.
